West Coast Urban District Forum
Join the Downtown Long Beach Alliance, the California Downtown Association and IDA for the West Coast Urban District Forum on March 14-16, 2017. From placemaking to change-making, this event will explore a variety topics ranging from diversifying the investment base in our downtowns to expanding the downtown footprint in a neighborhood-centric “center city” concept.
Master talks and breakout sessions will explore how downtowns serve as economic development resources beyond city boundaries, and the role social media plays in encouraging community engagement. Experts will share best practices on enhancing downtown quality of life and cultivating the next generation of leaders.
Downtown Long Beach is the perfect location to draw industry experts from around the region. Long Beach offers an eclectic gathering of experiential neighborhoods where the waterfront meets
urban living. The city celebrates diversity through its local art and music culture. Long Beach has witnessed a $2 billion renaissance in recent years as the second busiest port in the world. Getting
around is easy, with convenience to public transit, pedestrian-friendly amenities, miles of bike paths, and simple access to the beach.
Get social: What questions will you come ready to ask? Share them on Twitter using #WCUDF17. See you in Long Beach!
